Slatine is located on the island of Čiovo, 8km from Trogir (part of the UNESCO World Heritage), 15 km from the airport Resnik and 35 km from city of Split.
During the summer months, Slatine is connected with Split by boat line, which is operating 4 times a day. After 25 minute ride, boat docks at the center of Split, on the famous Riva. For passionate excursionists this is an ideal chance to sightsee the city of Spli, especially its center built 1700 years ago, by the Roman emperor Diocletian.
Slatine is small fisherman village where You can, even nowdays, buy fresh fish, homegrown vegetables and olive oil. In the summer season fiestas and sport events take place.
In the center of Slatine You can find grocery stores, taverns, bars and restaurants with a great offer of fish and local cuisine.
Village is settled along rocky and pebble beaches of which the most famous one is Kava beach.
You should definitly visit the sanctuary of Our Lady of Prizidnica, on the southern side of the island, only 2 km from Slatine.
